The pacing systemYou get about 67 seconds per question. We install a two-pass system: bank the fast twenty first, mark the grinders, and know exactly when a question has earned a guess instead of another minute.
Algebra manipulationRearranging, exponents, and systems: the handful of manipulation moves that turn an ugly expression into a two-step problem, drilled until they are automatic.
Quantitative comparison strategyThe rule is compare, don't compute. Plugging extremes, and the three traps the DAT loves: negatives, fractions between 0 and 1, and zero.
